Economic Development Rate

Our Economic Development Rate is available to new and existing commercial and industrial customers with new or additional load of at least 1 MW in our Wisconsin service territory.

This program offers eligible businesses the opportunity to lower costs through one of two options:

• A revenue-based construction allowance for distribution extension, offsetting up-front costs of the distribution extension to serve the new electrical load, or
• A five-year waiver of distribution demand charges (with no construction allowance).

Both options lower the overall costs to new or expanding businesses who qualify.
